Anti-dote members are invited to attend talks by Dr. Yasmin Jiwani, author of Discourses of Denial. There are two opportunities: Thursday, Oct. 4 and Friday, Oct. 5.
Yasmin was one of the first to write about the erasure of race in the Reena Virk media coverage. She is co-editor of "Troubling Girlhoods". The work of Anti-dote and Jo-Anne and Sandrina's research with our GURLZ is discussed in a chapter in that book.
Anti-dote is co-hosting the reception following the Thursday talk on Oct. 4 at 6:30 in Cornett B107.
